  1. Flyback switching power supply--Introduction

  Flyback switching power supply refers to a switching power supply that uses a flyback high-frequency transformer to isolate the input and output circuits. "Flyback" means that when the switch is turned on, the inductance in series in the output line is in a discharge state when the input is high; on the contrary, when the switch is off, the output is high when the input is high. The inductance in series in the line is charged. In contrast to the "forward" switching power supply, when the input is at a high level, the inductance in series in the output line is in a charged state, on the contrary, when the input is at a high level, the inductance in series in the output line is in a discharged state, which drives the load.

  2. Principle of flyback switching power supply

  The single-ended flyback switching power supply adopts a dual-loop feedback control system with good stability, so it can quickly adjust the pulse duty cycle through the PWM of the switching power supply, so that the output voltage of the previous cycle and the output voltage of the previous cycle can be adjusted in each cycle. The low-level coil magnetizing peak current is effectively adjusted to achieve the purpose of stabilizing the output voltage. The biggest feature of this feedback control circuit is: when the input voltage and load current change greatly, it has a faster dynamic response speed, automatically limits the load current, and has a simple compensation circuit.

  3. Flyback switching power supply - working mode

  The circuit structure of the flyback switching power supply is relatively simple, and it is widely used in low-power circuits. The two power supplies used in the 15kw photovoltaic inverter are of this structure. The flyback switching power supply has three operating modes: continuous mode, discontinuous mode and critical mode. In the discontinuous operation mode, the power tube is turned on at zero current, and the turn-on loss is small, while the secondary diode is turned off at zero current, and the reverse recovery problem can be ignored, which will have some benefits for EMC.
